Hampstead Health was established over 9 years ago and has been serving the community since. The practice is purpose built with the highest level of equipment and facilities. There are visiting specialist, allied health and nurses.

SURGERY LAYOUT
Hampstead Health has twenty consulting rooms, a four-bed treatment room and a procedure room. Most consulting rooms have natural light with floor to ceiling windows.
There is pathology collection, pharmacy, a large physiotherapy practice and a dentist in the building.
The staff facilities are best in class. The practice has a large café style lunchroom with a high quality coffee machine and team meeting room for doctors’ lunches.
The practice is fully air conditioned and all the facilities are modern and at a very high standard.
SURGERY FACILITIES
The opening hours are 8am to 11pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm Saturday and 9am to 5pm Sunday and Public Holidays.
The practice uses Best Practice software and is 100% paperless.
The dedicated 95 bay car park and main road location means that it is convenient for patients and doctors.
TREATMENT ROOM
Hampstead Health has a 4 bed treatment room and a procedure room. All equipment is top of the range and is well maintained (everything works).
ADMIN SETUP
There is a dedicate General Manager, Practice Manager and a large number of support staff including HR, Accounts etc.
The practice is fully accredited.
NURSING SERVICES
Hampstead Health has a team of 11 nurses (all experienced RNs). There is nursing support on every hours that the practice is open across seven days.
During the day there are at least two nurses attending to the treatment room and a dedicated Chronic Disease Nurse working on care plans and health assessments.
ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES
The practice is co-located with Hampstead Medical Centre Pharmacy and a large physiotherapy practice which includes podiatry. Other allied health include Exercise Physiologists and counselling.
SPECIALIST SERVICES
There is a number of specialists that comes to the practice regularly.
DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
There is a pathology collection service at the practice (Australian Clinical Labs).
PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS
There are a large number of young families as well as elderly patients as there are a number of age facilities in the region. Lightsview is a new infill suburb so there are a lot of new families have moved into the area. The surrounding suburbs are old and very established.
The area has a large amount of chronic disease patients.
BILLING ARRANGEMENTS
Hampstead Health is a mixed billing practice with a $20 gap (this is being increased to $30 soon) this combined with the high prevalence of patients with a chronic disease the practice on average bills $415 per hour. The average consultation is circa $80 per patient.
With increasing patient demand and the current average numbers of the practice, doctors regularly bill over $3,000 per eight hour day..
PATIENT FLOWS
There is a very large patient demand in the area. Hampstead Health has over 100,000 patients on the practice database. The practice averages approximately 5 patients per hour. A new doctor would expect to see this many patients from the day they commence. Doctors are free to see more of less patients.

The practice is located approximately 8kms North from the Adelaide CBD.
SKILLS OR INTERESTS SOUGHT
The practice would like to attract a GP that is interested in family health. There are large numbers of patients so it is possible for doctors to choose something they are interested in and focus their efforts in that area.
